Apprentice completes NVQ course!

Georgia Georgiou joined IPM in July on a 12 month apprenticeship, working towards a level 2 NVQ in business and administration. She made a jump start on her qualification by completing all the business administration requirements well ahead of the allotted time.

Georgia has worked hard to achieve beyond her target levels and in less than 5 months she has completed her apprenticeship course. She was congratulated by the IPM team who were so impressed they offered her a permanent position at IPM.

Georgia's assessor said "I've been delighted with the progress Georgia has made and the enthusiasm and commitment she has shown to IPM"

IPM get involved in Zero Waste Week

It is our mission to encourage staff to recycle during Zero Waste Week. As part of our environmental commitment we have removed all the waste bins beneath the desks and replaced them with communal recycling and landfill bins. This encourages staff to think about disposing of their waste correctly.

Posters about Zero Waste Week have been put up on notice boards and announcements made in staff meetings.

We have also set up a 'Waste Management Log' to measure all landfill and recyclable waste created by us - this is updated each week by our cleaning staff as they empty the bins.

IPM also did their bit for the community by litter picking in Peterborough on Sunday 20th November. Julie Morris and Georgia Georgiou (the IPM green team) were amongst several volunteers who gave up their own time to take part.

The pictures below (left) are of Julie Morris and Georgia Georgiou with the group before they went litter picking and (middle) of the vast amount of waste collected by the whole group in just one hour! The green team (right) together with IPM's MD Alan Bentley, visited Peterborough's Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) organised by Peterborough Environment City Trust (PECT) in preparation of Zero Waste Week to give them a better understanding of what happens to our waste.

IPM are sharing their green sparkle.

IPM were awarded Silver Level Accreditation with Investors in the

Environment in April 2012 and now are aspiring to go for Green.
